How To Get Rid Of Cockroaches Out Of Your Apartment

Roaches are unavoidable, especially in the place with humid weather as Ho Chi Minh City. However, before thinking of using chemical products which usually contain cypermethrin (can cause nausea, muscle weakness, headache, salivation, shortness of breath and seizures if excessively exposed), why don’t you try some Vietnamese ingredients, which not only helpful but also poison-free.

Orange peel and lime peel



Exposure orange peel and lime peel to the Sun until they are dry, then put them in the cupboard or pantry, or you can burn the dried orange or lime peel. Your home is not only smell great, but also can avoid roaches effectively.

Cucumber



Cucumber is very easy to find, and it’s good for your health and beauty. However, there is an advantage of cucumber which not everyone knows is that cucumber can kick roaches out of your apartment for rent. All you need to do is put cucumbers on places where roaches usually appear and they will go away when they notice the smell of cucumbers.

Sugar



Sounds nonsense, right? However, since insects are always attracted to sweet stuffs, why don’t we use sweet stuffs to trap them? You just have to put in an iron box about 3 tea spoons of sugar and fill half of a box with water, mix it up, and there’s your trap. Place the box in places where roaches are usually been seen, and they will find the box through the smell of sugar and fall into the box.

Onion



Since onions are pungent which can create unpleasant feeling, they are also one of the effective ingredients to chasing cockroaches. You cut onion to a dish and place it in the kitchen, cockroaches will run away when they smell it. Moreover onions also may slow the process of changing food quality, hence, help keep food last longer.

Bay leaves (Laurel leaves)



Crumple a few bay leaves and put them in a pot of water. Use that water to clean your condo. The scent of bay leaves will make cockroaches leave. This way also make your apartment clean and full of pleasant smell.

Shiso leaves



Shiso leaves are also an enemy of cockroaches. You grind shiso leaves with sugar according to the 1:1 percentage, and place the mixer in places where roaches are usually been seen. After a few days, you can clearly see the result.
