Renting an apartment with your lovely pets in Saigon is not a big deal

There are many apartment for rent in Saigon now accept pets. There are also more and more pets come to Vietnam in recent years that you can easily find some pets walk around with the owner in many apartments lobby in some buildings like The Estella or Imperia An Phu.

Stick with Pet-Friendly building or location. This is the best way and first considerable when to move with your pets. Search out pet friendly/ acceptable apartments in your new location and then the rest of this list will be null and void for you. In Saigon, district 2 and Binh Thanh district have more green places, that’s reason why buildings there tend to accept pets more than in district 1 or district 3, the centrals of Saigon.

Even though finding an apartment for rent in Saigon that allowed pets would be the most ideal situation, it's not always realistic. As the result, we have to focused on what to do everywhere else.

Should not focus on the large rental places. You can be more easily convincing an individual house owner into allowing pets than a big community, compulsorily when the building manager do not allow pets that is "no pets". That mean, you can consider to rent an apartment in small building rather than moving to disapproved pet rules made. In Thao Dien, District 2 or some locations in District 3, tenant can find house for rent that negotiating with owner to bring pets into is easy work.

Ask the broker or the landlord first. If you're playing around with the idea of getting an animal or you have a friend or significant other with a pet who might move in an apartment in Saigon with you in the future, make sure to ask the apartment consultant or the Vietnamese owner about the pet rules straight away.

Hide or to be honest. The landlord will find out if you have a pet so just come out with it right away. Don’t try to hide them.

Let Your Pet persuade the owner. Not many animals are well behaved 100% of the time and some of them need a bit of courting time before showing their true characters. But if you have a incredible pet that will make the landlords fall in love than use it to your advantage, because most Vietnamese are friendly and love animal. They just scared that you cannot control your pets behaviors during renting their apartment.

Propose a Trial Period. If the landlord is on the fence about it you might be able to push them by advising a short term probation where they can observe how the animal is getting along in the space and then you can re-negotiate your contract.

Get it in Writing. You often will have to pay a bit extra and throw down a pet security deposit when agreeing the contract. However, you have to make sure all the terms that were discussed and agreed upon concerning your pets have been written up clearly before signing.
Are you the responsible pet owner?  Yes! That’s enough!
