- Single/multiple entries for one month

- A 3-month single or multiple entrance period, and

- A single-year multiple entry (for US Passport holders only).

However, a business visa for Vietnam is currently only valid for three months at most.

Vietnam visa on arrival

A substitute online method for obtaining a visa to visit Vietnam is called Vietnam Visa on Arrival.

Depending on the status of visa processing you have chosen, you will receive your approval letter via email one hour to two business days after submitting the online application and paying the processing cost.

Each of Vietnam's three international airports, in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, or Da Nang, will also receive copies of your approval letter on your behalf. Vietnam tourist visa

However, foreigners can request for a Vietnamese visa exemption for a maximum of 5 years and can stay 90 days for each entrance if they are the spouse, child, or parent of a Vietnamese or if they are living abroad with Vietnamese relatives.

Information needed to obtain a tourist visa for Vietnam

Tourist visas for Vietnam are available at any Vietnam embassy abroad, or they can be acquired simply and more quickly online. The following details should be noted in order to apply for a tourist visa online and pick up your visa at Vietnam airports:

Conditions and Requirements for Implementation

- Passports from other countries, or documents used in their place, must be valid for at least six months after the date of admission. The applicant must have a permanent residence permit issued by a foreign country that is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival if a Vietnamese national living abroad does not have a passport.

- If a person is "not yet allowed to enter Vietnam" according to Vietnamese legislation, visa exemption documents cannot be issued.

- Vietnamese expatriates and their family members are not eligible for a visa exemption in Vietnam if they are temporarily barred from leaving the country.

Note: The second visit cannot occur earlier than 30 days after the first visit if citizens of the countries seek to enter Vietnam again under the visa exemption program.

If you are not from one of these nations or wish to stay in Vietnam for a longer period of time than is permitted, you must obtain a visa in one of two ways: either apply in person or by mail at a Vietnam embassy nearby, or apply online through travel agencies to receive a visa at the airport.

How long can a tourist in Vietnam stay there?

There are single-entry and multiple-entry variations of the Vietnam visa. Single entry visas are only good for a single entry and exit, while multiple entry visas are good for as many entry and exit as there are days left on the visa's validity period. Maximum stays range from one to three months.
